This week in class we talked about the burning of the witches. We made up a witch (Morgana) who was friendly to the children and told them stories. The children made tea, a house, and sang a song for Morgana to welcome her to the class. Children brought their own witch costumes, so they had a lot of fun playing and casting spells with one another. We had some witch themed candy to celebrate! In our English lessons, we divided our focus between more places (the ocean, the city, the forest), and continued learning English words for many animals and what kind of habitat they live in. The children also learned what kinds of animals we would find at a barn, and the purposes some of them serve: like milk from a cow, wool from a sheep, etc… Next week we will begin learning words in English for the different kinds of foods, as well as reiterating our work with places and animals.
