This week in the Funny Experiments class we talked about water. We did an experiment involving water, a cup, and paper towels. We talked about what happens when things get wet and whether materials absorb water or not. Then we began our experiment by putting a paper towel at the bottom of a cup, turned the cup over, and put it straight down into a container of water. We made sure the whole cup was covered with water and then discussed whether or not the paper towel would get wet. We then took the cup out of the water and discovered the paper towel remained dry. The kids were amazed that the paper towel didn’t get wet and were excited to repeat the experiment again.
